MY DREAM…

I woke up exhausted yet happy from my dream…

“I saved the chicken!”

I kept repeating the phrase in my mind, “I saved the chicken.” I was so happy. I have tender spot in my heart for chickens. We always had them growing up and I could hear them singing and strutting around and I just love chickens, especially hens.

In my dream there was a sweet little hen. Smaller than average maybe a Bantam… maybe a Red Rock, or maybe just a runt.

Wild dogs had been chasing this poor little chicken all day and she was about spent from trying to escape. Finally a big dog caught her in his mouth.

The dog was running with my sweet little chicken dangling from his mouth with the other dogs in hot pursuit.

I tried to cathch the evil chicken -eating dog and finally managed to get in front of him.

With a mighty leap the dog sailed over my head, however: I intercepted him and he was forced to drop the chicken.

Poor little hen. She still had a lot of fight in her but she was so exhausted. My heart bled for her! She looked at me with trepidation, frightened at this new threat.

I held out my arms and said, “You have a choice, you can let me save you by TRUSTING me… or you can keep running and let the dogs get you. Which will it be?”

She hesitated but a moment, and then allowed me to pick her up and tuck her under my arm.

Dogs were still sniffing around in hopes of a tasty chicken snack…or just a fun chase. (Can’t really blame a dog for just doing what comes naturally, right?) But I held my precious little hen safe in my arms.

I wasn’t afraid of the dogs even though they were very aggressive.

I woke up feeling so happy and singing, “I saved the chicken. I saved the chicken.”

Now, because I am a spiritual channel, I could easily go to my celestial team and get guidance, but I thought it would be more fun to let you use your intuitive skills. Help me decipher my dream. What meaning does it have for you?

I love hearing form you… leave your comments:

    Dear Rebecca,
I just loved reading ALL comments and contributions from your subscribers. WOW, do they know a lot about DREAMS.

I love it, simply because I *never dream*, i.e. I always wake up – quite ready actually to *tackle* my day, the good, the bad, the uglies.
My late husband Squadron.Leader H.G. Holmes (a WW2 pilot), if he dreamt, he always dreamt about WW2 and *bombing* etc. I automatically knew this had to do with *going through FEARS*, which was not *that* brilliant of me because I could well imagine how terrible those WW2 missions (to stop Hitler taking over the World) must have been for those young bucks, torn away from their folks (Holmes was a New Zealander and *had to* go fight that war, never saw his mum & dad again.
So – that, those dreams were real serious top,top PTSD (post traumatic stress dysfunction) although at the time, 45 years ago, I think that phrase had not even be invented yet ??

Yet – if you take PTSD on levels from 0,001 to 100 (absolute) and for instance also a (your) dream can be seen as some sort of *stress* that your subconscious seems to be busy with TO THE EXTENT that you are dreaming such dreams as you wrote about – cannot you, *tap* according to the basic EFT methods in order to DEAL WITH this (stress)??

Note: Dr. Pat Carrington, whom we all admire and WHO introduced *the choice* method does state, of course: we have a CHOICE, and that’s what we have, indeed.
So: Q. Do we have a choice, to dream or not to dream?

From practical own experience, someone WHO DOES NOT DREAM, i.e. I know I know *we all dream*, let us say – I cannot remember, should something like that have taken place *whilst I sleep – on the RARE occasion that I did have something that I woke up with, and sort of vividly could remember, I 1) felt drained of energy, i.e. it never did anything *restorative* for me 2) and because also I could not make head or tails of it, except: ?? could be this, could be that, I then decided: ENOUGH of all that, I have *no time* (don’t want ) to spend more time on something so *abstract*, i.e. *hazy*.

Note: I have done an awful lot of studying when it comes to what is called FREUDIAN, and Platonian (i.e. Ancient Greek Philosophy) stuff but JUNG, the father of all that has to do with DREAMS I never felt attracted to digg into. Yet: it is interesting as a phenomenon to understand, also for clients of course.
    _____________________________________________________
Btw. about your dream, the chicken, your *affair* with the frog – can it be that somehow Rebecca has *tapped into* the magnetic (earth) vibes of *De La Fontaine* ?? i.e. the tales of …. (Les Fables de la Fontaine) was actually my first – immediate reaction when I read your email.
These Tales Rebecca are so.o.o. psychological AND educational that for us in Europe reading them is more or less *compulsory*.

And whilst on that topic – also the book *Little Prince* by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a real life amazing/challenging story of HOPE and survival is worth getting familiar with for every human being.

Reading it to a child at bedtime makes the kid happy, RELAXED, gives it feelings of (lasting) security, and the then *imprinted* know-how (hope) that miracles do happen, that PEOPLE can overcome the impossible.
This is about a really happened to the author plane-crash in the middle of the Sahara desert/no water except his tears, and his *rescue*.
______________________________________________________So, if you asked me as a therapist: I would say: find something to RELAX totally before you go to sleep, and then *see* what happens *for your subconscious*, whether it likes that, whether that agrees with you too, of course.

Much love and respect, from Willy (in Southern Turkey)

Thank you for sharing your beautiful dream. I have not read the other comments yet. However, I believe that your dream means this: the scared chicken represents us human beings. The ferocious dog represents circumstances, people, fear, etc. that cause suffering or perceived suffering in our lives. Circumstances can be such things such as financial problems, ill health, having a loved one die, breakup of a relationship through divorce, etc., loss of a home in a typhoon or tornado or fire, inability to walk, etc. People can wreak havoc such as terrible bosses, etc. So, in order to be protected from these kinds of things we have to ask Mother God Azna, which you represented in your dream, to take us in Her arms and “lift” us out of our suffering. If we are focused on Her, we won’t get attacked by the dog which is anything that takes away our peace of mind, etc. God is the answer to all of our problems and is the solution.

My insight on this … You representing the Divine Mother in this dream watching over Her little children. When one gets snatched up by any astral entities or darkness, She is there to rescue us and comforts us with Her Love until we feel safe once again. Then we know for certain we are always safe because even though we may not have know it, She is always watching over us.
Also – what you are doing as Her representative here, to let Her work through you to help her little chickadees! 🙂
    Love

My beloved Rebecca, you bring joyous tears to my eyes! You REALLY saved the “chicken”! I clearly receive, my dearest, that you allowed for a very deep healing to take place within you! It took a great deal of courage to do so, as this attacked intimate part of you was REALLY scared and completely shut down. That’ s why it showed up as a running chicken! Also, it is definitely connected to your sexual feminine energy (what we often call Divine Feminine), which is actually the most potent healing energy that runs through you (that’s why you work so closely with Divine Mother Azna). You literally placed this precious, little (but so huge!!!!) hurt part of yours in our Divine Mother’s hands to be loved like it deserved! And to be completely healed! I clearly “see” that your healing potency has gone through the roof (it’s still unravelling and will continue to do so for quite a while) after this miraculous healing you received, my beautiful Rebecca! Great for you and that’s for me too! Thank you for taking this leap of faith and trusting the Divine like never before! I love you deeply and unconditionally! God bless you!
P.S. All women can also receive Rebecca’a miraculous sexual healing, as long as they choose to. That’s why our precious Rebecca shared her dream with us. Allow the healing to be for you too to the extent that it serves your highest good with ease, joy and glory! Trust your gut, ladies! An ocean of love to you all!!!!

Tomorrow is the first day in court, the first step, toward adopting my 3 yr. old grandson. This hearing will be for full custody of him. He’s been with me for nearly a year and knows only myself as his parent. His mother made some bad choices, but, was wise enough to place him in my care and allow me to go forward with adoption. His father, however, abandoned him at six-months and has never tried to see him or provide for him. This is who I will be up against tomorrow. I am asking, begging really, for people to pray and/or send positive energy for and to us. I pray that the Mother God knowing what is in our hearts will help all involved see that keeping Aiden with me and the rest of his family here is important. Peace be with you all.

I feel this dream represents all of us. We have moments when we feel so exhausted fighting all the worries, woes and cares. Just when we feel we cannot go on, divine forces show up to interviene…we must choose though to surrender to said divine forces. Once we make that choice we are lovingly and safely held, and protected.

Thank you for sharing that dream, I feel like I needed to hear that today!

Thank you for sharing this dream. Also had not heard the Abraham Renegade story until today…nice to know. I love the idea of the Red Rock Hen and the fact that you saved the chicken. As a Totem Animal HENS represent the following:
The Chicken animal totem is a strong spirit indeed and its magical properties are one of the most influential of all animal totems. The power of knowledge, the spirit of learning, the ability to teach others, and so much more can be integrated into the spirit of the possessor of this magical pearl and the Chicken totem.

Hi there:) to me this dream says there is a project or something of importance to you that you have been working on. That no one else agrees with it and is fighting against it or doesn’t support it.
But since this “project” is so important to you and you believe in it, you are willing to risk everything for it to save it. I feel the trust the chicken has for you is you’re intuition saying it’s ok to follow your desire for this project and that it will turn out successful.

  9. Daniele on November 20, 2013 at 11:46 am

Hi Rebecca, thank you for sharing your dream. For me it has to do with fear or choosing to trust and knowing that when we do, everything will be fine. If the chicken didn’t trust you, he would have been killed, and he was hesitating at the beginning. He chose to trust and he was saved. You, in the dream could have chosen fear of the dogs, but your only concern was to save the chicken and you didn’t let the fear in. It is about faith (trust, love) or fear. This is my interpretation of the dream. Love you Rebecca and thank you for all the wonderful work you do. Daniele

Maybe the chicken in your dream is you. Frightened and lonely, with the sense of being the only of your kind in this world. When picking the little one in your arms, you showed that the only (and I repeat the only) power and strength there is in this world actually lies within you , not outside of you. And thus you have shown us all that we are strong and mighty in our humanity and freedom of choices.
And the dogs, maybe they are the methaphore of the actual weakness of our fears, as they can be defeated by one simple act of LOVE.

    God bless,
    Tina

Rebecca, I love your dream. What a wonderful metaphor for helping our fears to trust and be ‘saved’ and not being hunted down by all these ‘fear hunters’.
And now the saved fear – can be again what it originally was the humble ‘golden egg laying’ creative force.

The little hen is your simplicity, innocence, goodness and kindness. The dog is the negativity of the world that keeps you running and believing that if you don’t run you will be eaten. Sometimes that negativity can seem bigger than anything else and running feels like the only option. In reality, there are other beings or forces that can be turned to in times of need and you are not alone, nor do you have to exhaust yourself in the struggle against negative forces. It is alright to accept help, even if it comes from a person or being that is not a chicken, like you. Not everyone is out to get you, and negativity is not the only force that is operative in this world. PS – my “ladies” are Ethel, Daphne, Lucy (the “redhead”‘) and Amelia, Juliet and Evelyn (the “brunettes”). Chickens are a cure for depression and many other ailments.

I think your dream summed it up when you told the chicken that she could either trust you or keep running. I don’t know if this message is directly for you or for the collective but it seems that there is a global theme these days of the call to trust and surrender to the care and protection of larger forces. Your dream can be seen as an inspiring message for all …. If you’re a liitle chicken and runnung from something all you have to do is surrender and trust!

    Thank You!
