Saturday, I was invited to a friend’s class reunion in another city 50 miles away. It sounded like fun and everyone was staying overnight in an old hotel, La Borde House.

This particular hotel is reported to be haunted and even had a documentary made about it. A little girl had drowned on the property, a man had flung himself off the balcony and a prostitute had killed herself there.

At the party, I met several guests who had been staying there for several weeks. One young man in particular said that the young girl ghost followed him around and even other people could see her.

Well, me with my psychic vision…I couldn’t ‘see’ a cotton pickin’ thing!

I did have a sense of the young girl hanging around the kindly man she had adopted as a ‘father-figure’.

I did call the Light to form a portal…and of course it came. (Divine Light will always come when you call it) However, I did not feel any compelling power behind it. I did not sense that the ghosts took advantage of the portal at all.

I wondered about this…then spirit gently whispered.

“Rebecca, you were not commissioned to open that portal for these spirits…you just thought you “SHOULD” because you could. This was not your portal to open, it may be years before the right person is commissioned, maybe never.”

What a lesson for me and for all of us. How many times do we feel obligated to use our talents or gifts, just because we have them?

How much do we operate out of a sense of duty or “savior of the world”?

Spirit says that if we would all listen ONLY to the promptings of our innermost heart and NOT from our heads and sense of obligation, the whole world would be served.

If your gift is for only one person to benefit from, then it is far more valuable than if you weaken yourself by giving it away where it does not fit. (BTW, I had to rest all the next day after wasting my energy where it was not even wanted!)

I can tell you there is a HUGE difference around the portals I am commissioned to open and the one I attempted to open for the Ghosts of La Borde house.

I don’t get to choose where I will go, it’s already part of a plan for Divine Harmony. I’m chomping at the bits to go and fulfill my calling.

The portal I halfheartedly tried to open at la Borde house, had no ”juice” behind it. My energy was wasted and I felt drained.

Suggestions have come in from all over as to where I might need to go and open an ‘exit portal’ for spirits that need to go home, or malevolent energies that are being drawn to the light.

The course is already mapped out by Spirit and my soul’s agreement.

I will know where I am supposed to go next when the time comes. I do know that I will not be called upon in this capacity until at least March… after I open the 11/11 Portal.
