Beat Up Dance Shoes, Brazilian Butts,My Goodwill Purse and NITIKA’s Gift.
Sometimes…I like to just be “normal”…ha ha, like that’s possible!
I mean, NOT talk about spiritual stuff.
So here goes…
I was out dancing the other night and everywhere I looked, I saw these ENORMOUS Butts!
It seems the Brazilian Butt fad has hit South Texas!
If you haven’t seen any “really Big Butte” yet, take a look.
I think this fad calls to some primal instinct in man because every man in the dance club had their eyes GLUED to these butts (not the actaul buts here- the ladies would not stand still for the photo)
Please don’t think I am criticizing…I think it looks good…well, maybe just a little over the top. I did some research on Brazillian Butts and it is quite a big business. (Honestly now, ladies, most of us wouldn’t mind a little perkier butt now would we?)
Ok, so now for my Goodwill purse story.
My memory is fuzzy, I think my friend Cindy found this awesome, hardly used Ed Hardy purse at the Goodwill for a fraction of normal! (Do I keep using the word ‘normal’? – I did say this email was ‘normal’)
The Beat Up Dance Shoe Story…(Which leads to the NITIKA’s Gift Story)
For the last few months, I have been guided to stay with my children here in South Texas. The local genre of dance here is Tejano…latin dance with a folksy twist.
I am of course learning how to do it because dance is such a JOY in my life. (No matter what kind)
I have been using my good, comfortable faithful dance shoes and I have just about worn the soles right off them.
When I got home from 3 straight hours of dancing at the dusty American Legion, they looked the WORST they ever have!
Of course, I will clean these up and keep them…however, NITIKA gave me a brand new fancy pair and some earrings to boot!
NITIKA Gift Story:
I was in a store a couple days ago and I heard NITIKA (Ancient spirit of wealth) whisper to me…“Rebecca, get yourself a present and I will pay for it.”
Well, I did not see anything I wanted (I am not a shopper) so I thanked him and went home.
However, next day, I was near the mall and had the idea to look at dance shoes. I found a fancy pair and a pair of gaudy earrings that just made me shout!
I got them both. Later, I discovered that I had made two very unexpected sales that totaled exactly the cost of the shoes and earrings.
I love sharing parts of my life with you. Isn’t it nice to just “be normal”?
I love you,
Rebecca
