Becky never told…she felt shame and she did not know why.

Fast forward to age 11.
Becky was walking home from the store, in the hot Texas sun.
A preacher friend of her fathers pulled along beside her asking
if she wanted a ride.

She trusted him…after all, he helped bring souls to Jesus!

He made a detour and passed Becky’s house.

“Hey, stop, you went past the house,” shouted Becky-
beginning to feel a little alarmed.

“I just want to be with you a little while” answered “preacher friend”

He reached over and pinched her tiny little budding breasts,
and fondled them.
Becky felt so frightened. She did not know what to do.

Her blossoming womanhood felt so insulted…she felt immense shame.
She felt violated and begged him to take her home.

He finally did but not before making her feel it was all her fault.
She was just asking to be touched, pinched fondled because she was not
wearing a bra.
(Becky was so clueless, she was not much aware that she was developing)

This time, Becky told her mother…
“Shhhhhh, don’t tell anyone, ever! Just stay away from him.”
her mother said. 

Becky hung her head in shame.

A few short years later, a visiting preacher man raped 15 year old Becky.
This time, she knew better than to tell.

What? A man of God?
Surely you tempted him?
Surely you flaunted yourself…shame, shame shame!

I tell you this story not to get any sympathy, but to help
you realize it can happen to anyone.

Actually,(Becky’s) my story is very mild compared to many of yours.
At least I did not suffer incest.

I do feel my case was very influential in helping me choose the path
I am on…a path far away from “good ole preacher boys”

Even though predators are in every walk of life, it is especially hurtful
when they hid under the umbrella of pretending to be Godly.

Thankfully,(Becky) I have done so much energy work that I am healed
from most of the shame.
It has not been an easy road. I have used technique after technique
and still a tiny residue remains.
