 Does Your Food Have Feelings?
By Rebecca Marina

A few days ago I woke up craving a pancake- not just any pancake…a Bisquick pancake!
If you’re not familiar, Bisquick is a pre-mixed baking product that can be made into bread, pancakes, and dumplings just by adding a few extra ingredients.

As far as processed foods go, it would be high on my personal list of ‘dead & worthless’ fast food commodities.

I scanned the ingredients:
refined flour, shortening, salt, and baking powder (a leavening agent).

After checking out the contents, I was prompted to ask Spirit…
Does this food have feelings? Can I help it become healthier?

Here’s what I got…

All plants know they are part of sustaining the planet. All plants came with the ‘intent” to either create or sustain life.

Every plant gladly gives their life force to increase the energy of the planet. Of course, every plant would prefer to be picked at the height of freshness and enjoyed in the most natural state possible…but that does not happen often.

Because man is the one who harvests them, the power of ‘choice’ is taken away.

Many foods are made to ‘hurry up” their development by the use of hormones, chemicals and artificial lighting. This takes away from the integrity of the plant or animal food source.

Ok, so you’re about to down a Twinkie (or insert your ‘no-no’ food of convenience) and you know that the food is dead and devoid of vitality…so you eat it in guilt… you are doing yourself a grave disservice both to yourself and the food!

Dead, processed food is still struggling to increase life- to add to the vitality of the planet.
Use the power of your imagination to amp up its aura.

Know ye not that you are powerful creators?
You can use your very own powers of imagination to create in spirit and it shall be done.

By blessing the food and increasing its “auric strength”, you can help to “restore the foods integrity”.

The dead food will bless YOU by coming to life.   Just take the time to bless it and strengthen its aura.

What will you do for the food in return?  It does so much for you…

Simple…Appreciate the food.

Send the food loving thoughts about how delicious it is.

Can you imagine the food and you together as receiver and sender?  Flowing back and forth?

So, let’s get back to my Bisquick pancake.

As I was mixing the Bisquick mix, eggs, milk and butter, I was imagining the aura of the food growing stronger until it was bright and shiny. I blessed it before eating it and continued sending it light. As I took a bite, I sent waves of appreciation back to the pancake. I relished every single mouthful!

And then- Such a beautiful feeling of satisfaction had come over me…more than satisfaction…fulfillment.

I could only eat half the pancake!

What happens to the other part of the pancake that I did not eat? It is now imbued with its original “intent” to sustain and give to life. Wherever the remaining particles go, they have accomplished their purpose in the great cycle of life.

Usually, when I eat a pancake, I have an energy drop about an hour later. After eating the “restored” pancake, I was filled with energy and easily worked all day long. Six hours later, I had to remind myself to eat again because I still had such a great feeling of satisfaction and high energy.

It is man that has the “power of choice”.  It is man that created food processing. Please don’t point your fingers at the ‘greedy rich corporations’; they would never have developed food processing methods if there had not been a need for it.
Blaming never solves anything.  Blaming keeps your energy ‘stuck’ and keeps you from feeling free to do what you can.

Q. Why not just stop at “blessing” the food?

A. Blessing is wonderful…however, if you’d like to help increase the energy of the food, use your “intent” to restore the integrity and purpose of the food.

By using your intent to restore integrity and purpose to the food, you are sending a powerful message to all life everywhere:

“I am man/woman, blessed with freedom of choice. I choose to recognize the purpose and integrity in all living things. With my will and my ‘intent’, I choose to elevate the energy field of all I come into contact with.”

Here are the exact “how to” instructions so you can do this with your food.

#1.  Look at the food you want to ‘restore the integrity” of.
#2. Tune into the state of the food as it is right now.
#3. Imagine the food in the height of its prime.
#4. Imagine that You can strengthen the auric field of the food with the power of your imagination. Make it as strong and bright as you can.
#5. Eat and enjoy the feeling of satisfaction you get from being a co-creator.

#6. Don’t get up and run off the minute you get finished eating. Savor the fulfillment. You don’t run off the minute you finish making love do you?

Of course, we all want to eat fresh, organic foods whenever possible. In many situations that is just not possible. “Restoring the Integrity” of your food with this method is the next best thing.

I love this, Rebecca! Thanks for adding the intentionality aspect of restoring the food to its original integrity along with the beauty of blessing our food.

    Beautiful, just beautiful.

    Dearest Rebecca,
Wonderful message! Thank You. You are an angel.

Some years ago I was at a workshop on energy and the discussion went to “Why we say grace” before eating. An apple was placed in the centre of the room and its ‘Auric energy’ was measured. Then we were all asked to bless the apple and its life giving energy. Thereafter the auric field was re-measured, and it had increased by at least 250%, maybe 500%. I Am convinced that I would far rather have energised, blessed life-enhancing and -promoting food into my body!
I also bless medication to my body and acknowledge that all healing comes from my Creator.

    much Love and many blessings.

I really like the inspiration about how to treat food, and everything else.
may i suggest to speak a little louder, sometimes i can hardly hear you on videos and audios because i have reduced hearing, and i am sure i am not alone. at other times you come through just fine. i am told by a sound specialist that it has something to do with the microphone and its volume

    We have feelings.
    We are potential food.
In some parts of this world we stll are. We have been plants we have been animals and somewhere in our human cells leaves a memory of all those energies we call knowledge or sensation or feelings.

When you ask a Shamen in the Amazon forest how he knows which plant will heal what illness? He will answer: the plant is telling me.

By inhaling drinking or consuming in other ways certain natural substances (like fresh tobacco) they awake in themselves those energies, this information integrated to our human existence during infinite time of evolution.

We can ‘talk’ to stones to plans to animals through this energetic Internet that connect us to all beings to all substance. Some of those energetic messages we refer to as feelings but in the end of the day it is just another form energy the shape shifter takes on in all that exists.

Thanks Rebecca, When we bless our food we always bless it back to the farmer and the rancher according tho their needs and blessings for those who consume it according to their needs be it health, mental or spiritual or financial….

It is good to see you back on my email once again… Blessings to you!!

Rebecca, thank you so much for sharing this information and this exciting technique. I, too, wonder what spirit would have to say about eating animals. I have read that they are also largely generous and giving of themselves as you said the plants are. However I do not believe that they should be raised in confined and squalid conditions or taken for granted as they are currently.

Julie asked earlier about more studies or information. You mentioned two books in an earlier letter that I am really looking forward to reading on this topic:

    Primary Perception CLEVE BACKSTER
and The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins

Wonderful topic! As someone else asked, I am curious to know what Spirit thinks of eating animals and how they are treated in today’s factory farms. I find it very interesting that the first answer you got only mentioned plants. I believe they are all we are meant to eat. To me, animals are no more food than humans are.

I love this, Rebecca! Another blessing shared from your heart and the heart of your experience – so precious! This is powerful guidance for everyone in relationship to food and all things on the planet. It is the human ego that seeks to control by defining and limiting things – calling some things “good” and others “bad” . They are in in reality what we make of them —- by our choosing! Your steps are a GREAT way to share with people how to reverse their own programming!!! Like what Wayne Dyer so simply says, “When I change how I look at things, the things I look at change.” Thank you and love you!
p.s. — I am also sad about Gary’s retiring and honoring his choice. He will be missed !

This is WONDERFUL information….with more detailed information to complete the cycle of life. I would bless my food, but you and Spirit have shown me that I can take it even further, and make food (no matter what it is) something that it was meant to be – enjoyed to the fullest, with the most pure and simple intentions. What a beautiful offering, Rebecca…no wonder you are one of my absolute favourite teachers! 🙂

    Love,

    Zora

What does the Spirit thins about eating animals?

  16. Heidi on December 27, 2009 at 11:38 pm

It is so funny to me that on Christmas eve I was making home-made tamales and something told me to use an ingredient that I wouldn’t usually use due to it having additives but I listened to my intuition and used it anyway (reluctantly). It turns out that my regular tamale eaters
kept complimenting how good they turned out. Now I am sensitive to additives and my body tells me that there is something wrong when I eat them ( my diet is fairly pure) so when I started to feel this funny feeling come over me I started to bless that “dead food” while it was in me and flushed it with white light and suddenly felt normal, next day I ate another tamale and no symptoms just normal. I was kind of confused but happy about it. Now 3 days later Rebecca you put this subject in your newsletter, thank you for clarifying & confirming what the universe was showing me. Much love to you and yours during this holiday season.

Rebecca, in the last couple of years I have made a habit of raising the frequency of all food that I eat. Even with the healthiest organic food there is always the energy of all the people that have handled the food to contend with, so I always clear away unwanted energies and raise the vibration of my food by intending it to be perfect, whole, and alive. I also let the food know how much it is loved and appreciated and I never feel guilty about anything I eat…after all it is perfect.
    Thanks for sharing!

  18. Joan on December 27, 2009 at 10:44 pm

Thank you for reminding me to bless our food. It takes just a moment and really makes a difference. We would do well to bless our water also.

Thank you Rebecca, have a blessed New Year.

  19. Patty on December 27, 2009 at 9:12 pm

What a wonderful insight. I have often thanked the creature that gave its life for my sustenance, but this takes it to another level. I’d like to share something related. I recalled you saying that the most important thing we can do to be healthy is to bless our food and drink. I am so grateful for the love and companionship of my pets.Whenever I fill my pet’s water bowl I bless the vessel, the water and the creatures that drink from it with divine healing energy. We all benefit from this little gesture.
    Peace!

Thanks, Rebecca…this is very dear! Now I don’t feel so guilty about that package of pre-made blueberry scones that I got for Christmas breakfast. I usually make everything from scratch but these called to me….and they were organic (!) and on sale(!) I did enjoy them but now I will amp up the remaing ones per your instructions. I think there is much wisdom in blessing everything that we use, animal, vegetable or mineral. At Findhorn, they name and bless the machines—the vacuum, the Xerox, etc. I’m sure it makes them work better.

  21. Catharine on December 27, 2009 at 6:59 pm

Rebecca, How I appreciate this information about our food… As a child we always blessed and appreciated food at meal time… I feel plants and food love our attention and appreciation of them… this information confirms that for me…. and reminds me to be aware of our blessings….. sending you much joy and love. Catharine

  22. Pawnee Jewell on December 27, 2009 at 6:16 pm

    Dear Rebecca,
Thanks for the beautiful reminder! Why not extend this idea to any conscious thought, action and reflection. What amazing changes could take place with such a shift in our being. Thanks too, for being so natural, cheerful and fun. Pawnee

  23. Kristin on December 27, 2009 at 5:48 pm

I think you are absolutely onto something here….I’m learning in my own life that it’s ALL God. The more I remember to bless and give thanks and am mindful with love when I’m eating food (or doing anything), the more I feel the wholeness and connectedness of everything. Life is such a miracle, such a blessing in itself. I love the idea of restoring to food it’s integrity., We as modern civiization so mistreat our planet, our food, ourselves, eachother….but as we each open to and practice doing what we can in our own lives to heal ….I know that the earth feels it and responds to the love. Thank you, Rebecca.

Thank you so much for this article, I had been struggeling with this issue for over 2 weeks but didn’t know how to bless my food properly and the foods that aren’t quite so healthy I feel I should eat when at another persons’ home. This has been such a great find for me and relieveing a great deal of stress of going off my organic diet. Thank you again. Really enjoy all you infromation you share.

Thank you Rebecca, for this beautiful and very amusing article on how we can come to peace with the food we eat, ourselves, and the planet. My reaction when reading it was mixture with “ahhhh’s” and “haha’s!” Now I feel good about how to view and treat food going forward!

Excellent. Thank you for sharing these thoughts about food.

I want to share another great idea with you that I got from the Boutenko family when they visited San Antonio recently.

Green smoothies made with fresh greens and fresh fruit are delicious. I sure wish I had known about this missing piece when I was a total vegetarian. What an easy way to get plenty of nutrition without pill and potions.
