Self Love…and My son’s new puppies!

Sheeba is half English mastiff half Great Dane. (Danif)In Canada the breed is registered. The size of a small pony! Just this week, she gave birth to 7 beautiful pups! One is a runt and my son constantly helps her get to a teat. Sheeba is an outside dog and her home is a very large dog run (bigger than my bedroom was) and she runs and plays in the 2 acre yard several times daily.

Simon (my son) had not planned on letting her get pregnant. The vet said she needed to be a certain maturity before she could get fixed. Well…accidents happen!

There is actually a breed called

Sheeba n all 7 Pups

If he is not a breeder why allow the dog to have puppies when you can walk into any shelter and adopt puppies or any other dog of any age and save their life? it doesn’t matter whether he finds a good home. everyone says they’re going to provide a good home for the dog. the facts are most of those dogs will end up in the shelter. I have volunteered at a shelter over nine years and this is always the case. please educate yourself and your son. I can send you daily emails of all the dogs I get that need a home or are going to die within a day or two. maybe then you’ll realize that adding more dogs to the problem is completely wrong.
There is no joy into bringing them into this world as for each dog your son breeds, 100 of other dogs die in their place.
I’m not sure what county you live and there’s a lot of legislation that doesn’t allow for people to have puppies unless your a licensed breeder and your dogs have to be spayed or neutered. having them have puppies before hand is totally irresponsible.
In addition, thinking your son can contact families to check on the dog is totally unreasonable. families will eventually tire of his questions and will want to just be left alone.
I am sorry, I can know longer support any of your efforts. being a true animal lover means being socially responsible for making sure the dogs in the shelters do not die.
I cant believe she is an outdoor dog….this truly takes the cake.
